From Cambridge University Caving Club - CUCC wiki
- remove all reflectors from paths and leave at top or base camp
- thoroughly clear stone bridge including scraps of litter, string and note that some of the bivvy hangers need an open spanner (not a Petzl hammer) to open so do this before all spanners go down the hill!
- bring all rope, most metalware and all drills and batteries to base camp (setters, handbolting kits and hammers, hiltis and hand bolting spits can stay at top camp)
- wash all the rope in the river (rope washer in loft)
- dry all rope
- check all rope
- chop rope if necessary and re-mark it if necessary
- chain all rope
- wash and dry all maillons and hangers and crabs and slings and tacklesacks
- oil and check all maillons and hangers and crabs
- make list of all maillons and hangers and crabs and slings and tacklesacks
- make list of what has been sent back to the UK with who, type up and email out to cucc list
- make list of what is left at top camp, type up and email out to cucc list
- make list of what is in base camp loft, type up and email out to cucc list
- check survey folder list and scan in any remaining notes and drawn up surveys
- back up expo computer
- make sure expo computer (or at least hard drive) and logbook, sesh book and bier book go straight to Cambridge
- do not pack loft right to edges - leave gaps around sides and top to allow air to circulate
- leave gap down middle of loft for beer tent poles - these are surprisingly long and lots of them
- defrost both Tatie hut fridges - note new Tatie hut fridge takes 4-5 hours to defrost
- any useful perishable food (longlife milk, potatoes, onions, tomato tetrapaks, eggs, etc) given to Hilde
- base camp gas cylinder left with Hilde, *NOT* put into Tatie hut loft
- pay Hilde's bill! Don't leave this too late - you need to add up nights stayed and give them time to calculate it
- keys back to Hilde
